Scope:This specification covers one type of organic fiber in the form of roving. 【摘要】:Waxesdonotgothroughasharpsolid-liquidphasechangewhenheatedandthereforedonothaveatruemeltingpoint.Asthetemperaturerises,waxesgraduallysoftenorbecomelessviscous.Forthisreason,thedeterminationofthesofteningpointmustbemadebyanarbitrarybutcloselydefinedmethodiftestvaluesaretobereproducible.Thistestisusefulindeterminingtheconsistencyofwaxes,andasoneelementinestablishingtheuniformityofshipmentsorsourceofsupply.Thistestmethodhasbeenfoundsuitableforalltypesofwaxesincludingparaffin,microcrystallinepolyethylene,andnaturalwaxes.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheASTMdroppingpointforwaxes.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
