【摘要】:ThisStandardcoverstypes,sizes,materials,dimensions,tolerances,andmarkingsfornonmetallicflatgaskets.Thesegasketsaredimensionallysuitableforusewithflangesdescribedinthereferencedflangestandards.ThisStandardstatesvaluesbothinmetricandU.S.customaryunits.Asanexception,diameterofboltsandflangeboltholesareexpressedininchunitsonly.Thesesystemsofunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theU.S.customaryunitsareshowninparenthesesorinseparatetables.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,itisrequiredthateachsystemofunitsbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Exceptfordiameterofboltsandflangeboltholes,combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsconstitutesnonconformancewiththeStandard.
