【摘要】:Uponagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier,fabricsintendedforthisenduseshouldmeetalloftherequirementslistedinTable1ofthisperformancespecification.ItisrecognizedthatforpurposesoffashionoraestheticstheultimateconsumerofarticlesmadefromthesefabricsmayfindacceptablefabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Therefore,oneormoreoftherequirementslistedinTable1maybemodifieduponagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.Insuchcases,anyreferencestothespecificationshallspecifythat:x201C;ThisfabricmeetsASTMSpecificationD4118exceptforthefollowingcharacteristic(s).x201D;Wherenoprepurchaseagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier,andincaseofcontroversy,therequirementslistedinTable1areintendedtobeusedasaguideonly.Asnotedin5.2,ultimateconsumerdemandsdictatevaryingperformanceparametersforanyparticularstyleoffabric.Theusesandsignificanceofparticularpropertiesandmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecifiedmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoverswovenfabrics,composedofanytextilefiberormixtureoftextilefibers,tobeusedinthemanufactureofwomen''scoveralls,dungarees,overallsandshopcoats.1.2Thisperformancespecificationrecognizestwolevelsofwearingseverityrelativetoperformancerequirementsforthesefabrics.1.3Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletowovenfabricsintendedforuseinthemanufactureofindustrial-protectiveclothing.1.4Theserequirementsapplytothelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosepropertieswherefabricdirectionispertinent.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Uponagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier,fabricsintendedforthisenduseshouldmeetalloftherequirementslistedinTable1ofthisperformancespecification.ItisrecognizedthatforpurposesoffashionoraestheticstheultimateconsumerofarticlesmadefromthesefabricsmayfindacceptablefabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Therefore,oneormoreoftherequirementslistedinTable1maybemodifieduponagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.Insuchcases,anyreferencestothespecificationshallspecifythat:x201C;ThisfabricmeetsASTMSpecificationD4118exceptforthefollowingcharacteristic(s).x201D;Wherenoprepurchaseagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier,andincaseofcontroversy,therequirementslistedinTable1areintendedtobeusedasaguideonly.Asnotedin5.2,ultimateconsumerdemandsdictatevaryingperformanceparametersforanyparticularstyleoffabric.Theusesandsignificanceofparticularpropertiesandmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecifiedmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoverswovenfabrics,composedofanytextilefiberormixtureoftextilefibers,tobeusedinthemanufactureofwomen''scoveralls,dungarees,overallsandshopcoats.1.2Thisperformancespecificationrecognizestwolevelsofwearingseverityrelativetoperformancerequirementsforthesefabrics.1.3Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletowovenfabricsintendedforuseinthemanufactureofindustrial-protectiveclothing.1.4Theserequirementsapplytothelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosepropertieswherefabricdirectionispertinent.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
