【摘要】:ThispartofBS5871specifiesinstallationandmaintenancerequirementsforfluedfixedspaceheatingappliancesburning2ndand3rdfamilygasesforthepurposeofheatingroomsorspacesindomestic(seeNote4)orcommercialpremises.Itappliestoappliancesknownasradiantgasfires,radiantconvectorgasfires,convectorheaters,andheatingstoves.Combinedappliancesofthetypewhereagasfireisusedinconjunctionwithaboilerorcirculatorarealsocoveredinsofarastheinstallationofthecombinedapplianceisconcerned.Thisstandardcoverstheselectionofasuitableappliance,theflueingand/orventilationrequirements,andothermeasuresnecessarytoensureasafeinstallation.Thecentralheatingand/orhotwatersystemconnectedtoacombinedapplianceisnotwithinthescopeofthisstandardandreferenceshouldbemadetoBS5449(seeNote5)andBS5546forthispartofsuchaninstallation.Thisstandardisnotapplicableto:a)mobileandportableappliancesconformingtoBSEN449;orb)appliancesintouringcaravans;orc)open-frontedradiant-convectorheaterswithoutadressguard.Additionalrequirementsfortheinstallationoffire/backboilersandfire/backcirculatorsarespecifiedinClauses15,16,17and18.NOTE1Attentionisdrawntotheforewordconcerningfueleffectapplianceswhichburngassoastosimulateasolidfuelfireorproduceotherdecorativeeffects.TheonlytypesofsuchappliancescoveredbythispartofBS5871arethosedetailedini)ofthecommentaryandrecommendationsonClause5ofthisstandard.FurtherguidanceinthisrespectisgiveninFigure1.NOTE2Heatinputsinthisdocumentarebasedonnetcalorificvalue.Figuresbasedongrosscalorificvaluearegiveninparentheseswheredeemednecessary.(SeealsoClause5,commentaryandrecommendations,h).NOTE3Attentionisdrawntotheforewordconcerningtheinstallationofusedappliances.NOTE4Aswellasnormallyconstructeddwellings,domesticpremisesincludeanypermanentlysitedcaravans,holidayhomes,residentialparkhomesandpermanentlymooredboats.SeeIGE/UP/8[8].NOTE5BS5449hasbeenpartlyreplacedbyBSEN12828andBSEN12831,andistobewithdrawnonceBSEN14336andBSEN14337arepublished.
