【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoverstheselectionofmethodsfordeterminingthesizedistributionoffluvialsedimentsparticlesintherangegreaterthan0.45956;musingmanualmethods.Manualmethodsaredefinedasthosemethodsthatrequiretheoperatortodosomeactualmeasurementsandcalculations.Anautomatedmethodwouldbeonewhich,afterthesampleispreparedandinsertedintoaninstrument,theinstrument(machine)doesthemeasuringandcalculations,nottheoperator.Notallmanualmethodsarepresentedinthisguide.However,whereavailable,atleasttwomethodsforeachparticlesizerangearegiven.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
